We’re happy to announce that the GLCC will be holding its first annual juried art show, “01301: Art by, for, and about Greenfield.” Artists of all ages, working in any media, are encouraged to enter by June 15. The show is open to anyone living in Greenfield, anyone working in Greenfield, or anyone making art about or inspired by Greenfield. The entry fee is only ten dollars and cash prizes will be awarded. Applications are available at Greenfield Town Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, and online at http://www.thrivesmedia.com/glcc-art-exhibit/
The jurors for the show will be Jen Simms, Professor of Art at Greenfield Community College; Braden Chattman, Digital Imaging Instructor at Hallmark School of Photography; Jean-Pierre Pasche, owner of Eastmont Custom Framing in Easthampton & co-creator of the Arts In the Orchard sculpture project; and Becky George, Events Manager at the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and co-organizer of the Green River Festival and the Brick and Mortar International Video Art Festival.
The show and its gala opening will be held Fall 2012, in a location to be determined by the type of art entered.
