On June 16, the Energy Park: Coop Concerts will be presenting the Green River String Band, Barry Higgins, and Daniel Hales and the Frost Heaves from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Bring a picnic, and your pals. It’s a gem of a Thursday nite line-up!
The GLCC will be holding our community input meeting on June 21st from 6:30-8pm at GCTV. This is an opportunity to get involved in directing the public art priorities that the council follows when making grant decisions. These funds are allocated from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to our municipality. All are welcome!
We are thrilled to announce that in honor of a bequest we received from Conrad Lobush, we are able to make a $1000 contribution to the Beacon Field Playground project. Mr. Lobush wanted to be sure that the children of Greenfield had a place to explore their creativity!
Everyone is invited to talk about “The Art of Leaving” on Friday, May 27, 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Arts Block, 289 Main Street, Greenfield, Massachusetts.
Come and meet the artists and others involved in the fabulous portraits that are going up on buildings around town this week. Extending the boundaries of performance, McLaughlin, Chattman, and collaborators have taken the characters from the performance work in process, “The Art of Leaving”, and frozen them in time.
Cash bar, refreshments, video installation, and more at the beautiful Arts Block. Stop by and join the conversation!
Created By Cynthia McLaughlin, Joanna Chattman, Saliq Francis Savage, Cassie Mills, Krista DeNio, Lisa Lani Nahele Schmidt, Jen Polins, and Shane Brenizer; and assisted by the Greenfield Local Cultural Council.
