The Greenfield Local Cultural Council Is Now Accepting Submissions for Its Fourth Annual Juried Show, “Changing.” Applications due August 19.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, August 19 (entries must be received by that date)
ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION: August 24
DROP OFF: Between 10 a.m. & 6 p.m., August 24-26
Exhibition Dates: September 2 – the end of December
Reception: Friday, September 2, 5-8 p.m. at Greenfield Community Television, 393 Main Street, where the show will hang.
The Greenfield Local Cultural Council is pleased to announce its fourth annual juried exhibition, "Changing." We will be accepting painting, drawing, prints, wall-mounted mixed media, video, and photography with the theme of changing. Each artist may submit up to two pieces.
Submissions will only be accepted online. If this presents a hardship for you, please contact the GLCC at GreenfieldLCC@gmail.com to see if other arrangements can be made. You may also contact us at that address if you have any issues registering or general questions.
How to Enter:
After registering, artists must upload or e-mail images of their work to GreenfieldLCC@gmail.com, in .jpg or .png formats, 1000px on longest side, with a limit of two pieces per entry.
In the email please include any special information related to hanging/displaying your works, weight if more than 15 lbs, and make sure your image files are labeled with name, title, and dimensions.
Accepted Entrants may be asked to provide more detailed descriptions for consideration. Pieces must be ready-to-hang, with wire, 2-D pieces within 36x48.”
Video art work: provide a representative image from the work, and indicate what is needed to display the work, and what you can provide – there is limited space to display such works.
Note: Art may be for sale if you choose. Commission fee for sold artworks is 15%, proceeds to go to the Greenfield Local Cultural Council.
Submissions must be received by midnight, Friday, August 12. Selected artists will be notified by August 19. Artists who have been accepted into the show are expected to make arrangements to drop off their work at GCTV during the week of August 22-26. If you are unable to drop your art during the week, please contact us by the beginning of that week to see about other arrangements. Any artworks selected which are not available for the dates listed above or for the duration of the exhibition, will be forfeited and the next selected artist will be chosen.
FORMATTING OF WORK SAMPLES: DIGITAL IMAGES
- File name: Images numbered in the order you would like them to be seen and labeled according to the titles on your list of work. (Example- “lastname01_untitled.jpg, lastname02_sunset.jpg”)
- File size: No larger than 1.0 MB (each image) at 300dpi
- File format: .JPG (preferred), png, gif
